About Us

Campus Crusade for Christ at Wright State University is a chapter of the US Campus Ministry (USCM), the collegiate ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International.
Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCI) is an interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. We cooperate with millions of Christians from churches of many denominations and hundreds of other Christian organizations around the world to help Christians grow in their faith and share the Gospel message with their fellow countrymen. Working together with these fellow believers, our goal is to help give every man, woman, and child in the entire world an opportunity to find new life in Jesus Christ. Our commitment is based on our Lord’s command:
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
Bill and Vonette Bright first launched Campus Crusade for Christ as a campus ministry in 1951 at the University of California, Los Angeles. The underlying concept was to “win the campus today and change the world tomorrow.” More than 50 years later, the mission remains the same. Today, the US Campus Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is a network of 1,431 vibrant, growing movements on 1,064 campuses in the United States and beyond, with over 50, 054 students involved. Proven and diverse outreach strategies expose millions of students to the gospel each year. Over the past five years, more than 37,900 students made a decision to become a Christian.
Purpose
The Purpose of Campus Crusade for Christ is to fulfill the Great Commission in accordance with the spiritual mandate of Jesus Christ, as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20.
Mission
We are trusting God “to turn students into Christ-centered laborers for a lifetime.”
This is what our mission means:
- WIN- Taking the initiative to share our faith so that every student on every campus can hear the gospel in an attractive, meaningful manner. Col 1:28, Rom 10:13-14
- BUILD- Offering a place where Christian students can connect with other Christians and grow in their faith. Eph 2:10, 2 Tim 2:2
- SEND- Equipping Students to walk with God for a lifetime and have an impact for Christ on the campus and the world. 2 Cor 5:14-15, Rev 5:9, Rom 12:1-2, Matt 24:14
Vision
There are more than 16,151 students representing 66 different countries on the Wright State University main campus. Our vision is to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ to every one of them.
We are trusting God to bring students to faith in Christ through the relationships and evangelistic efforts to which we devote ourselves. Through discipleship, accountability, and Bible Studies, we are sharpening one another (1 Tim 4:8-9, Proverbs 27:17) to be effective witnesses for Christ and to take part in the ministry of reconciliation.
We are building a transformational community of believers to advance the Gospel on Wright State University’s campus, bring students to Christ, and train and send them into the Harvest.
